Warm Weekend Cuddles with this Rich Boozy Rumchata Hot Cocoa

We’ve made it through the holidays yet it feels like winter has just arrived! Though I simply despise the cold, I just love a good cup of kiddie style hot cocoa with a giant toasted marshmallow and loads of fluffy whipped cream. Luckily, this childhood memory in a cup is transferable to those of us currently knee deep in adulting. I promise a splash of RumChata and you’ll take your favorite rich, chocolatey beverage to a whole ‘nother level of warm and cozy this cuffing season. I’ll even go as far as saying this could be another at home breakfast in bed/ winter brunch fave…but I’ll leave that for you and your love bug to decide.

Recipe Notes

*USE WHATEVER'S IN YOUR KITCHEN!*

  • Substitute and use whatever dairy you have on hand. Heavy cream and whole milk work well here.
  • Have fun with different types of chocolate and toppings! How about white chocolate with a bit of peppermint? Or milk chocolate with a caramel drizzle? Feel free to use chocolate chips if you cannot find these in powder form just add a little more hot water in the beginning to prevent sticking.
  • Leave out the liqueur and serve up with sprinkles, graham crackers, or hot fudge for the kiddos!
