Nothing says love, cuddles, and warmth like a good cup of rich hot cocoa! Enjoy this as a night cap or a chocolatey addition to your brunch menu, either way you’re in for a deliciously irresistible treat.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add cocoa, sugar, salt and water. Stir until blended well.
Add warmed half-and-half and RumChata, continue to stir and simmer until heated through. Do not boil!
Carefully pour hot cocoa mixture into mugs and top with loads of whip cream, jumbo toasted marshmallows, and chocolate chips.

Substitute and use whatever dairy you have on hand. Heavy cream and whole milk work well here.
Have fun with different types of chocolate and toppings! How about white chocolate with a bit of peppermint? Or milk chocolate with a caramel drizzle? Feel free to use chocolate chips if you cannot find these in powder form just add a little more hot water in the beginning to prevent sticking.
Leave out the liqueur and serve up with sprinkles, graham crackers, or hot fudge for the kiddos!
